Juno is a wonderful example of the diversity of animals that come to St. Francis Animal Sanctuary (SFAS) in need of a home. Juno, a gorgeous Malamute mix, was a wandering stray in Southern Mississippi. For several weeks he was spotted in different areas of a small town, but one day he finally made his way up to a farm that offered him a temporary haven. The family was unable to keep him as they had a working farm and Juno was very keen on chasing all the chickens, so they contacted SFAS for help.
Since arriving at the Sanctuary, this gentle giant has won over the hearts of everyone he meets. He is well mannered with other dogs, and already knew the commands for sit and stay and walks beautifully on a leash. We can’t begin to imagine how he ended up as a wandering stray, but we’ll make sure that his future is much more secure! He has been neutered, microchipped, and is current on all his vaccinations. We’re looking for a family that will be able to provide him with all the love and affection he deserves.
